St. Kieran Community Center for the Arts is a multi-disciplinary arts center, established in 2000, dedicated to the advancement of the arts, cultural heritage, and the humanities, and to the development of individual artists and regional cultural organizations through its programs, services, partnerships and collaborations. As a strong arts advocate and active member of Northern New Hampshire’s Cultural Heritage Tourism and Creative Economy Initiatives, St. Kieran’s currently offers a diverse performing arts series, and a visual arts series, artist demonstrations, arts and handcraft exhibits, and private arts lessons by local teachers.
St. Kieran Arts Center also pro-actively partners with other organizations to host public events and meetings which inform on critical issues---thereby providing a safe and creative place for important community discussions and creating an important sense of “common ground”. We are dedicated to supporting the arts, enhancing the quality of life in the North Country & promoting community and regional economic development.
“St. Kieran Arts Center is located in the original St. Kieran Church, which was constructed in 1895 and is an excellent example of turn of the century church-style architecture, with a wellbuttressed projecting tower, a central portal crowned with a beautiful Rosetta window, two elaborate stained glass focal point accents, and a unique Hook and Hastings Pipe Organ donated in 1898, which is still in excellent condition to this day. St. Kieran’s seats 400 guests and is on the NH State Register of Historic Places.” Video on Mission and Programs at www.stkieranarts.org
